MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe everyone wants to learn, everyone should have the chance to learn and everyone can learn.

Each individual wants to learn, it may not be about what your teaching, but each student has an interest in which they want to gain more knowledge for. Each individual has a different way of learning, that comes with their unique interests. Therefore, I believe, teaching should be as interactive as possible and as a result will be engaging for students. Being a good teacher, means being able to create a differentiated program to suit the individual students in your classroom. As a teacher, I wish to provide my students with a safe and encouraging environment which will enable the students to reach their personal goals, as well as the goals of content I have set for the class. I aim to be well prepared for each teaching experience. I am working towards having thorough knowledge of each subject matter I teach and spend time preparing an effective delivery. This will also help the class reach the goals for content that I have set.

I wish to conduct lessons of diverse teaching methods to keep students interested in the content. I hope to cater for all my students' learning needs and address their learning difficulties in the safe learning environment. By implementing the behavioural management strategies learnt at University and on my previous practicum experiences, I believe all students can have the chance to learn. I will be a successful teacher if all of my students can walk out of the classroom at the end of the year and tell me at least one thing they learnt from me.
